Hello everyone and welcome to my June
eNews. The month of June has been spent preparing for two big events to take place in
July, the Americana Music Festival and Purple Summer Festival.
The Americana Music Festival is July 8-10th. in Virginia City, Nevada and sponsored by Traditional American Music Project, TRAMP. Over the weekend, the premier music event in Northern Nevada will feature different venues of free music including: Americana, Bluegrass, Folk, Irish, and Rock-abilly at selected locations all over Virginia City. Headlining the festival on Saturday night and beginning at 7 pm in Piper's Opera House is the award-winning song writer Darrell Scott. To purchase tickets for the concert contact http://www.americanafest.org, If you're in to good music and having fun, come on out, bring your acoustic instrument to the free jams and enjoy the cool mountain air in Virginia City.

The following weekend, July 15-17th., in conjunction with Reno's Artown is the
Purple Summer Festival at Lavender Ridge. The Purple Summer Festival has become Reno's premier art show and with the location at Lavender Ridge over looking cool fields of lavender in a garden setting, it's no wonder why.
