March has been a busy and interesting month
with the highlight on the Wildflower Photography
Workshop in Death Valley from March 8th. through
the 10th. As I previously mentioned in the
February eNews, professional photographer Karen
Linsley and I conducted what was to become the
first wildflower workshop in Death Valley with us
all doing group camping at Furnace Creek
campgrounds. After arriving and setting up camp,
we ventured out to the sand dunes to catch the
golden colors of the setting sun. The first night
at camp was an awesome experience where we shared
food and cooking chores, and even had some s'mores
around the campfire. The next morning greeted us
with a nice sunrise as we enjoyed blueberry
pancakes and other breakfast treats before setting
out in search of the wildflowers. At almost noon,
when the light was becoming too harsh for the
flowers, we made a three mile round trip hike into
the canyon at Natural Bridge. Later that
afternoon, we departed to Artist's Drive and
waited for the sun to set at the Artist's Pallet.
Back at camp that night, we enjoyed BBQ chicken,
ribs, rack of lamb, fresh garden salad and of
course more s'mores.

What fun we had and so many adventures! We have
changed the name of the Wildflower Photography
Workshop to the "Photography Experience" and will
be looking for more places to go and discover.
Please check out my last three blog posts for
