Hello everyone and welcome to my May
eNews. This month has been a transition time
from winter to spring with some very interesting
weather patterns. Those of you who have been
following my photography for some time know how
much I love chasing storms, especially with my
camera.
During the second weekend of May, from the 6th
through the 8th the Reno River Festival was
held at Wingfield Park. The River Festival
has become America's premier whitewater event,
attracting around 40,000 people who come out to
enjoy the festivities. For more on the River

Over the last few weeks, I have
been drawn in the direction of abstract
photography. I think this is the result of spring
and getting out with my macro lens to enjoy
the flowers in bloom. Whatever the
cause, I am devoting several blog posts
toward exploring the abstract genre of
photography. I'm very excited about this
venture and will be eventually adding an abstract
section to my website gallery.
Thanks again to Sierra Arts and
Anne Dumke for taking over the "Galleries at Work"
program, I will have a new exhibit going up soon
in the Reno area.
